On day 17 we left Etosha and took a 3 hour drive to Otjitotongwe were we camped at a farm. The farmers here kill the cheetahs because they eat their livestock and about 20 years ago a farmer decided to keep the cheetahs and start showing them to tourists.
In the afternoon we went into the farmers house to meet the 3 cheetahs that live with him. They are like house cats in every way: playful, love company and if they see your hat or shoe their going to play with it!
A couple of hours later we went to see the wild cheetahs that were kept in a separate compound and we got a chance to watch them feeding them. Looking directly into the eyes of a wild cheetah is an experience that touches you. They have the most amazing and focused eyes!
