In order to get a taste of the wild we went to the Cheetah Outreach Park.

The park is run by a private group and it shelters wild cheetahs as well as home bred cheetahs and other animals. It’s population consists of 7 cheetahs, a caracal, 2 servals, wild dogs and two suricatas (cute little buggers always looking for something in the horizon).

It’s a small compound and when we got there it was feeding time so all the animals where eating. There’s also a lot of interns in there that come from other countries and volunteer to work so the atmosphere was really friendly.

If you go there you must truly experience the animals and that means a close contact experience. This consists of petting a cheetah while a trainer is keeping him calm and docile. It was amazing to see such animal up close!
